Marietta B-29 Superfortress Tee

Return to the Marietta 1834 Collection

Built in Marietta. Part of our story ever since.

Our Marietta B-29 Superfortress Tee looks back at one of the most important chapters in Marietta’s history: the years when B-29 Superfortresses were being built right here in our hometown.

The small center-chest design features “The B-29” above a front profile of the aircraft, with the back showing the full side profile of “The Superfortress” with 1943 - 1945 underneath, a reference to the years the B-29 was produced in Marietta during World War II.

For the artwork, we went back to the source. Design details were inspired by the original technical and flight manuals created for the people who actually worked with and flew the B-29, documents that have since been declassified! The result feels appropriately utilitarian and a little archival, without being a whole history lesson.

The cream-and-black artwork sits against Heather Carolina Blue for a soft, vintage-inspired combination that feels like it could have been tucked away in a drawer for decades.

We decorate it on the BELLA+CANVAS 3001CVC, a soft unisex tee with a modern retail fit that makes it an easy everyday shirt—whether aviation history runs in your family or you simply appreciate the role this aircraft played in shaping Marietta.

Designed and decorated with care right here in Marietta by the SDCT team.
